Nabrico Building
The former Nashville Bridge Company building sits on the east bank of the Cumberland River, immediately adjacent to the Shelby Street Bridge and the Cumberland Park. The historically significant building and creative site development provides a link to the industrial Cumberland River’s rich industrial past. The site design incorporates recovered artifacts from the bridge and barge construction operation that no longer exists in downtown.
The building and site renovation were developed to meet LEED Platinum standards and the structure is home to environmental education non-profits, restaurant and entertainment venues, Metro Parks office, concession and restroom facilities. Site attributes include a steel deck overlook, pervious pavers, native plantings and a rainwater harvesting cistern.
