Richland Creek Greenway
Richland Creek Greenway provides important connections for a number of West Nashville neighborhoods to shopping, schools and parks. Hawkins Partners services included environmental inventory, schematic design, and design development through construction documents and administration.
The greenway crosses the creek multiple times allowing for significant bridge opportunities and interaction with the natural environment. To remain sensitive, HPI designed portions of the trail as a wooden boardwalk, to move across the floodplain and natural rock bluffs along the creek.
HPI was also charged with design of all interpretive and way finding signage for the project. The first two phases were completed in the Spring of 2007.
